ie Italian Eatery: An Authentic Italian Dining Experience in Minneapolis

AMAZING food!!! It was my second time coming here and the food is 5 stars every time!!! My boyfriend took me here and realized that he had actually made a reservation for a different restaurant thinking that it was this one (lol), and the hostess was so friendly and accommodated us last minute on a Saturday night. Service was great and very friendly; food was amazing, the pappardelle was one of my favorite pastas I’ve ever had!

Food was really good, bread was really nice. They almost gave us too much! We couldn’t stop asking for more. Pasta was very very tasty. Worth the money for sure. I would come again. Vibes were really nice. I wore my work clothes here which felt kinda weird but I didn’t want to change.

Definitely lived up to expectations! Service was top notch and the atmosphere is excellent. The food was very good and everyone was happy with what they ordered. I would highly recommend the mussels as you can dip the bread in the soup and it’s delicious! The prosciutto was very good although for the price not really worth it. The entrees were excellent! We enjoyed the rigatoni the most out of the 3 entrees we tried and we heard the mushroom dish was one of the best.

We decided to stop by IE on a busy Saturday night without a reservation to celebrate my birthday. As a huge fan of authentic Italian cuisine, this place quickly became one of my favorites in the metro! From the kind hospitality, quick service, perfectly sized dishes, to unique choices across the entire menu from start to finish - it was all exceptional. A place to go that feels like family. First time coming here. Tough to find good reservation time on Friday. . Overall I find the food here overly seasoned compared to Vagabondo in Excelsior. I guess it's down to individual preferences. The grill salmon has lots of burned taste from grill mark. Nice for presentation but not for taste. However, their cappuccino is excellently executed. I am a very fussy coffee drinker. Tiramisu tasted good as well.

First time back since the reboot by Travail, it’s still a very good restaurant. Good date night and good family spot (maybe a bit heavy on the pocketbook for families with kids) Had two of the specials, a nice pasta and salmon, also the burger. For a starter the tomato bisque was excellent with a little grilled cheese dunker. The wine selections are very good, and cocktails fancy but not over the top. Only drawback is it’s a bit loud for my taste, ask for a booth.

IE is incredible, with stunning dishes at every course, a wonderful and accommodating staff, in a casual yet elegant setting. Visiting the area from NY our friend got us a reservation (which you will definitely need) and hyped up IE and it's delectable dishes. We were truly wowed by every item we ate, with 2 appetizers, the arancini and meatballs and 4 pasta dishes to share. Which we did family style and they don't technically do it that way but made it possible for us. I won't tell you what to get because taste buds will vary but every dish was cooked to perfection, with vibrant looks and flavors. All I can tell you is to make your reservation now, and I hope you are swept away as much as we were. Enjoy!!

The food was absolutely delicious! The sweet corn agnolotti was amazing and the tiramisu was the best I’ve ever had. Our server Mickey went above and beyond. Will definitely be back the next time we’re in Minneapolis.
